50 Hasell Street
Near the union of Hasell and Anson streets in Charleston stands the St. Johannes Lutheran Church parsonage, a blush colored dwelling that showcases historic home interior design while finding new life as a wedding venue. Since its construction in 1842, this Italianate influenced formal parlor has hosted guests for lavish, festive affairs, and continues that legacy today.
Debby reimagined the front parlor and named it the "Bride's Room," creating a special moment to honor newlyweds, with a pianist playing ballads as guests enjoyed the festivities. A noted local artist created a gold leaf hand painted ceiling design to highlight the stunning crystal chandelier above. Period French antiques and a lavish color palette of fabrics in window treatments and furnishings honor the European architectural influences woven throughout the space.
To further bring Debby's vision and historic home interior design to life, an accomplished regional artist was commissioned to create beautiful custom art landscapes, adding one more layer of storied elegance to this celebrated Charleston venue.
